PRE PRODUCTION: Narrative Structure 28/01/15

1) Lots of Different shots- including inspiration sports shots, still shots and snippets of people competing in different sports. Inspiration music in the background to set the scene and vibe of the theme- inspiration. This is the first time that we introduce the main character- the man who is training for their boxing.

2) This is the time where we introduce the secondary character- the girlfriend. Here we establish that in fact the man is not the best at his sport and often comes third. However, the girlfriend supplies support throughout the training. He comes second in his sport, and is so proud so comes home to his girlfriend.

3) He goes home and he and his girlfriend have dinner together. He wants to tell her the good news, but as she has come top in an academic event and won’t let him speak. She looks down on him and does not appreciate his achievement. The pivotal point of the film is the centre piece- when he becomes in an argument with his girlfriend. It is serious and ends with him being kicked out of his house.

4) Frustration is eminent. He is trying to succeed and keeps failing completely. He is upset and hurt and keeps getting knocked down. Followed by inspirational shots of him trying harder, boxing gloves, tying shoelaces and filling up water bottle.

5) ENDING TO BE CONFIRMED.
